Crops take nutrients from the soil and then those crops are shipped elsewhere, so the nutrients must be replenished.  Rather than using petroleum based fertilizers, which contribute to greenhouse gasses, AgTech closes the loop by land applying Class A and Class B biosolids to its fields, which provides moisture and nutrients to the soil.
